Customers service:

Main contact: Cory Chobanik

The guys at Veypor take care of their customers like no others; on their website, you will find a users discussion forum and answers are prompt!

Good thing is, as the forum grows and more Veypors are sold, the help database grows too, so in many cases,

explanations that were previously given are what you need in case of a problem.

Softwares are updated regularly and you can reach the customer service by phone, e-mail or even on the discussion forum.

They`ve been (the Veypor and H.U.D.) available to the public for a relatively short time and their good reputation is already known world wide!

-Dynamometer function: start screen and run on the way

-Roll-ons (from any speeds to any speeds but typically 0-60): Menu Ready Automatic

-Brake runs (60-0): View screen

-4 kind of lap timers: Choice screen lap timer mode #1 lap timer mode #2 lap timer mode #3 lap timing VIR

I hope I did not forget anything! There are features within features in that thing!

VAS software:

An utility that let you upload the information written in the Veypor memory into your computer and that let you view/edit/compare runs

in a much more precise and printable form, just like a dyno chart but in a much more complete way!

EX.: Statistics Whole software interface

The HUD by SPORTVUE:

Made to the engineers specs at Veypor, this is not the same device as the world acclaimed std SPORTVUE;

It gives you more informations and its made to communicate with the VEYPOR.

It is a wireless device that gives you a ton of information such as:

- Shows speed, RPM, gear and laptimes.

- HUD now displays 60ft, 1/8mi and final time during Auto and Staged 1/4 Mile.

- HUD displays final time for 0-60 runs.

-3 brightness settings

- Added HUD Imperial Units compatibility.

- Shift points, lap performance data, distance and many other functions.

- It switches automatically to the mode you are in the Veypor...very intelligent device!

The HUD is, like the Veypor it connects to, supported and updated continually from the website; more features are brewing!

Race Functions:

Save valuable time at the track - never look down at your gauges to know your exact RPM, speed or gear.

After each lap the HUD automatically displays your lap time and the difference between your last lap time and the current one.

Please, visit their HUD web page for more info: http://www.veypor.com/hud.html

Construction:

The Veypor:

Sturdy ABS plastic case, compact yet highly visible information screen...very well proportioned.

In a case, its been known to have endured a huge crash and is still working!

The HUD (by SPORTVUE):

Neat device!

Its rather small and attaches to your shield, so the shield has to be closed in order to use it

(unless you adjust the glued-on (3M special double-sided tape bracket slightly downward so you can ride with your shield slightly cracked).

A special bracket is needed for Arai owners, so make sure you mention your helmet brand when ordering;

the provided brackets are universal for all other helmets brands and types.

Installation:

The Veypor:

Pretty straightforward and easy installation procedure; the kit is absolutely complete...

The only things they dont provides are the tools needed for the installation!

Here is a web page dedicated to the installation procedure on a R6 Yamaha: http://www.highbimmin.com/Install/Veypor.htm

It is really easy to install...its basically a 3 wires affair:

1 wire to a coil output wire, 1 wire to the battery negative pole (or a suitable ground) and 1 wire to a switched power source

i.e. running lights wire on a flasher/front lights/ignition hot (+) wire.

The rest is taken care of by a sensor which provides data to the Veypor which use algorythms and calculations within itself.

Start the main wiring installation by the rear; install the magnet then find a proper way to install the sensor, then work your way

to the power source to finish with the location of where the main plug in which the Veypor connects to.

I drilled 2 holes in the left brace of my swingarm and mounted the sensor with 2 ty-raps, drilled a hole in the rear sprocket for the magnet,

mounted the negative (-) lead to the battery and the positive (+) to a switched source on the main fuse box.

I then ran the main wiring under the tank alongside the frame, besides the airbox, under the neck and alongside the left fork leg where I installed the clamp.

The H.U.D.:

Very simple installation!

If used with a Veypor, no setup is required at all; it communicates with it instantly.

Simply attach the brain in an unobstructed location on your bike (in my case, the fairing stay main beam),

plug the Veypor main harness into the H.U.D. brain and plug the H.U.D. brain into the Veypor.

I used long tyraps to secure it to the fairing stay.

Happiness factor:

So far, I`m more than pleased with my purchase!

I consider it one of the trickest bit of hardware I have on my bike right now; The features are almost endless since you can flash the memory of the

Veypor with new upgrades as soon as they do/publish them!

The guys at Nonlinear Engineering Inc always have something brewing for their customers as far as add-ons and upgrades.

Even better, they have a program called "Referal program" which gives you cash back ($20) when you refer a friend

for a purchase good to a max of $280 (14 referals max total) which can make your Veypor free as well as a $20 rebate to your friend!

http://www.veypor.com/referral.html

As for the H.U.D., it took me a couple of days to get used to it, but now I can briefly glance at it to have all the vital info I need when I ride

hard or just cruising.

I`ll report my findings about the other features tied to the Veypor runs as soon as I test them.
